Braille Screen Technologies, LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates this service. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Account Information - Username, email address, password (hashed) - Account role and status, creation and login timestamps
Service Data - Instance names, configurations (ports, limits, security settings) - Service ownership and lifecycle events
Billing Data - Credit balance and transaction history - Stripe/PayPal customer identifiers (we do not store card numbers)
Technical Data - IP address, user agent, request timestamps - API requests and authentication events - Service health metrics and logs

Legal Basis (GDPR)
- Contract: Service delivery and billing

Data Sharing
- Payment Processors: Stripe and PayPal process payments as independent data controllers. They receive information necessary to process your transaction (email, amount, billing details). We receive transaction confirmations only. See their privacy policies:

- Infrastructure: Hosting and cloud providers (Linode, Cloudflare) receive minimal necessary data to operate services
- Legal: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data Retention
- Account data: While account is active
- Usage logs: 90 days
- Transaction records: 7 years (legal requirement)
- Deleted accounts: Personal data removed within 30 days; transaction records retained as required
Your Rights
You may request to: - Access your personal data - Correct inaccurate data - Delete your account and data - Export your data (JSON format) - Object to or restrict processing - Withdraw consent where applicable

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
In addition to the rights above, California residents may: - Request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information collected - Request deletion of personal information - Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share for advertising) - Not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights
Categories of Personal Information Collected: - Identifiers (username, email, IP address) - Commercial information (purchase history, credit balance) - Internet activity (logs, usage data) - Geolocation (service region selection)
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by CPRA. We provide two methods for submitting requests: email (support@braillescreen.org) and in-app account settings (Settings → Data Management).
Cookies
We use a session cookie for authentication. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
This service is not intended for users under 16. Contact us to remove data collected in error.
International Transfers
Services run on nodes in regions you select. Where cross-border transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards.

Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Check the "Last Updated" date above.
