These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Braille Screen Technologies, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

We provide managed hosting for applications including TeamTalk servers, Miniflux RSS readers, and Joplin note-taking instances. Services are provided on a usage-based, prepaid credit model.

2. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 16 years old to use this service
• You must provide accurate account information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You may not share accounts or credentials
• One account per person; multiple accounts require approval

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use our services to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Transmit malware, spam, or harmful content
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
• Interfere with service operation or other users
• Exceed reasonable resource usage limits
• Resell or redistribute services without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Payment and Billing

• Services require prepaid credits purchased via Stripe or PayPal
• Credits are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy
• Credits do not expire while your account is active
• Running services consume credits at the published hourly rate
• You are responsible for monitoring your credit balance
• Services may be suspended when credits are exhausted

5. Service Availability

• We target high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
• We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue services with reasonable notice

6. Data and Content

• You retain ownership of your data and content
• You grant us license to store and transmit your data to provide services
• You are responsible for backing up important data
• We may delete data from terminated accounts after 30 days

7. Intellectual Property

• Our platform, software, and branding are our property
• You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our systems
• Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Services are provided "AS IS" without warranties
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for third-party services or payment processor issues

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

10. Termination

• You may close your account at any time via account settings
• We may terminate accounts for Terms violations with or without notice
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our retention policy
• Sections on liability, indemnification, and disputes survive termination

11. Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States
• Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first
• If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Missouri
• Class action waiver: disputes must be brought individually

12. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms with reasonable notice
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
• Material changes will be announced by email
• Check the "Last Updated" date above for the current version

14. Severability
